Yesterday, the Obama administration joined the permanent members of the UN Security Council in calling for a nuclear-free zone in the Middle East. In doing so, it handed Iran a major victory. Not only did the administration imply a moral equivalence between democratic Israel and totalitarian Iran, but it also created pressure on Israel to abandon any nuclear weapons it may have as a precondition to stopping Iran’s nuclear program.
